A new chapter for Water Reuse Europe

A new chapter for Water Reuse Europe

10th July 2026 news 0

We are pleased to announce that the Water Reuse Europe Secretariat has officially moved from the United Kingdom to Belgium.

This relocation strengthens our integration within the European water reuse ecosystem while ensuring the continued independence of Water Reuse Europe as an international association. The Secretariat is now hosted by VITO Kennispunt Water, a water knowledge centre with extensive experience in community building, knowledge exchange and communication.

We are delighted to welcome Charlotte Boeckaert as Secretary of Water Reuse Europe. Charlotte has been an active member of the Water Reuse Europe community for more than ten years and brings extensive expertise in water reuse for industry and agriculture.

She is supported by Maaike Vandekerckhove, who coordinates communications, and Stéphanie De Man, who is responsible for membership and association management. Together, they are committed to supporting our members and further strengthening the European water reuse community.

As we begin this new chapter, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Cranfield University for hosting the Secretariat over the past years, and especially to Kristell Le Corre for her dedication and leadership as Secretary of Water Reuse Europe.

Behind the scenes, the new Secretariat is working closely with the previous team to ensure a smooth transition while preparing an exciting programme of activities for the year ahead.

We look forward to continuing to connect professionals, share knowledge and accelerate the uptake of safe and sustainable water reuse across Europe.

Stay tuned. There’s much more to come.
