Amazon Web Services to become Water Positive by 2030

Amazon Web Services (AWS), the global tech giant, has announced plans to be water positive by 2030. Talking about their commitment to be a part of the solution and give back more water than they presently use, the CEO of AWS Adam Selipsky said, “Water scarcity is a major issue around the world and with today’s water-positive announcement we are committing to do our part to help solve this rapidly growing challenge.”

AWS aims to become water positive through four key strategies. Amongst the strategies to achieve their ambitious plan are using sustainable water sources, returning water for community reuse, and supporting water replenishment projects.
