City of Phoenix Accepts the Advanced Water Purification Program Roadmap

The City of Phoenix has extended its support to the Advanced Water Purification (AWP) Program Roadmap, proposed recently by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), calling it a significant step towards water sustainability.

The Phoenix Water Department, in partnership with ADEQ and stakeholders, is leading the program and central to this is the proposed regional Advanced Water Purification facility and the Cave Creek Water Reclamation Plant rehabilitation project. The Cave Creek plant is expected to strengthen Phoenix’s water sustainability efforts and will be equipped with the latest purification technologies.
