New Director Announcement – António Pinto

Water Reuse Europe is delighted to announce the newest member of our Board of Directors, António Pinto

António Pinto is an Environmental Engineer at Águas do Tejo Atlântico (part of Águas de Portugal), with a strong track record in water reuse. He has played a key role in the operation and optimization of Guia, Frielas, Beirolas and São João da Talha Water Resource Recovery Facilities (WRRF), driving efficiency, energy sustainability, and scaling up of high-quality reclaimed water. António contributed to the VIRA project, the award-winning craft beer produced with reclaimed water, and was directly involved in the Cascais reuse initiative, supplying reclaimed water produced at Guia WRRF for street washing in Cascais municipality. Since November 2025, he has been working at the strategic studies department, where water reuse is a core pillar. A member of the Portuguese Engineers’ Order, he brings both hands-on operational experience and strategic vision to help advance Water Reuse Europe’s mission.
