New Member Announcement – CELABOR

We are pleased to welcome CELABOR as a new member of Water Reuse Europe.

CELABOR is a Belgian scientific and technical center accredited by the Walloon region. ELABOR is offering scientific and technical support to companies involved in all sectors of the circular-economy and the bioeconomy including agri-food, green processes, packaging, textile and environment.

The Environment Department offers a range of expertise in the specific fields of water and waste, as well as technical and scientific support for the research and development of new technologies and/or products. CELABOR’s Environment Department supports industries in the analysis, treatment, and recovery of their liquid and solid waste, with a focus on sustainability and circularity.

CELABOR’s areas of expertise:

• Environmental analyses: industrial water, surface water, groundwater, compost, sludge, and biofuels. CELABOR is a laboratory approved by the Walloon Region for water and waste analysis. CELABOR analyzes industrial effluents for taxation purposes, industrial sanitation contracts (CAI), or compliance with discharge standards for industrial environmental permits. CELABOR performs analyses of standard water parameters (COD, BOD5, Nk, pH, detergent, etc.), organic parameters (PAHs, PCBs, VOCs, BTEX, hydrocarbons, etc.), heavy metals, and toxicity parameters for Daphnia magna microcrustaceans. Celabor also characterizes your waste (sewage treatment plant sludge, compost, biomass and other solid waste suitable for spreading) in order to identify the optimal recovery route.
• Micropollutant detection: volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hydrocarbons, pharmaceutical residues, pesticides, and emerging pollutants.
• Development of specific analysis methods: based on regulatory requirements or industrial issues. To successfully carry out its missions, the CELABOR laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and is able to offer you customized solutions for the development of highly reliable specific analysis methods.
• Water & waste treatment: advanced oxidation technologies, membrane filtration, disinfection, innovative biological couplings (algae-bacteria symbiosis).
• Technical & regulatory advice: support for environmental compliance, assistance in selecting technologies, and impact reduction plans.
• Valorization of residual flows: reuse of treated water, recovery of value-added compounds, integration into industrial symbiosis chains.
