New ReNutriWater handbook unveils practical water reuse solutions

The Interreg-funded ReNutriWater project has released its Handbook on Water Reuse, a hands-on guide offering expert-backed strategies, pilot project insights, and innovative tools—such as the WaterSafe decision-support tool—to promote sustainable water management across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond Interreg Baltic Sea Region.

Compiled through extensive consultations and real-world testing, the Handbook covers legal frameworks, disinfection techniques, nutrient recovery, greenhouse applications, risk assessment, and tailored business models. It aims to equip municipalities, industries, researchers and stakeholders with actionable, adaptable practices that foster environmental resilience and collaborative innovation.
