Water Reuse Europe Innovation Prize 2022

Back in 2017, our first award was presented to Aquabio for their water reuse solution at Bakkavor’s Cucina Sano site in Boston, Lincolnshire, UK. In 2019, the Water Reuse Europe Innovation Prize went to the new indirect potable reuse scheme of Mörbylånga in Sweden. Our 2021 Innovarion prize was awarded to Águas do Tejo Atlântico for their project “VIRA – Turn Concept and minds“, Portugal. We are now on the look out for 2022’s Most Innovative Water Reuse Scheme in Europe. Will it be yours?
The aim of the Water Reuse Europe prize is to reward the professionals who are breaking new ground in the design and delivery of water reuse projects and showcase projects and initiatives which are at the forefront of reuse practice in Europe.
Any legal person representing a European company or institution is welcome to submit an application. Qualifying schemes will have been operational during the 12 months to September 2022.
Applications will be judged by an award jury made up of the directors of Water Reuse Europe. Submissions will be judged against three equally weighted criteria; (i) novelty and innovation, (ii) effective collaboration; (iii) impact. Scheme designers or operators can self-nominate or submissions can be made by a third-party.
Three finalists will be invited to the Water Reuse Europe Conference and Exhibition in Girona, Spain on the 20-21 September 2022, where their scheme will be showcased during the award session before the winner is officially announced. Finalists are expected to attend the conference as a delegate.
The winning scheme will be promoted across our online platform, will feature in our Newsletter, with the representative of the scheme being interviewed for our Water Reuse Podcast Series. In addition, they will receive a 20% discount on Water Reuse Europe membership fee for one year.
To submit your application please complete our entry description form (.doc), and upload it to your application form below. The entry word document may include illustrations (figures, pictures, links to online sources etc.). Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email from our secretariat within 5 working days.
Due to a lack of applications following our first announcement in Spring 2022 our innovation prize has been postponed.
