Water Reuse Europe Innovation Prize 2023
With this award, Water Reuse Europe wants to recognise the professionals who are breaking new ground in developing solutions to address the water supply challenges of today and tomorrow across Europe.
We are looking for innovative and impactful initiatives which are at the forefront of water reuse practice in Europe.
Our 2023 innovation prize will reward the initiative that has demonstrated the most excellence in addressing our current/future water supply challenges through water reuse whether from technological, governance, educational or societal perspectives.
Our judges will be looking for:
- Evidence of novelty and innovation;
- Proof of effective collaboration.
- Impact towards sustainable water supply;
- Benefits to customers and/or end users;
Eligibility
This award is open to any legal person representing a company or institution with a water reuse initiative delivered in Europe.
Submitted initiatives must either be ongoing or have been completed in 2022.
Application process
All entries must be submitted online.
To submit your application please complete our online application form using the button below, complete each field of the form including:
- The name of the applying company/institution, location and applicant details;
- An entry title;
- Background: please provide background information about the initiative, explaining drivers for development and implementation, objectives, principles and financing (400 words max);
- Collaboration: please provide information on partnership/collaborations developed to bring the initiative to fruition (200 words);
- Innovation: please provide evidence of novelty and innovation of your initiative (200 words);
- Impact: please shortly describe the impact of your initiative towards a more sustainable water supply, including impact on water efficiency, impact on end-users (200 words);
- Benefits: please provide information on the financial, environmental and societal benefits of your initiative (200words);
- Tell us what would winning our innovation prize mean for your initiative / institution? (100 words max);
- Supporting information: additional information such as illustrations are welcome and can be attached to the entry form (2 files max).
Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email from our secretariat about the eligibility of your initiative for our 2023 Innovation Prize within 5 working days.
Our 2023 Innovation Prize competition is now closed.
Finalists
The three finalists of our 2023 Innovation Prize will be announced across our online platforms on the 27 SEPT 2023.
- The three finalists will be invited to present their entry at our 2023 Knowledge Exchange Event in Brussels, Belgium where the winner will be officially announced.
- Finalists are expected to attend the conference as a delegate.
- Please note that all entrants will be informed by email as to whether, or not, they have been selected as a finalist by 25 SEPT 2023.
The winning initiative will be promoted across our online platforms, will feature in our Newsletter, with the representative of the initiative being interviewed for our Water Reuse Podcast Series.
In addition, they will receive a 30% discount on Water Reuse Europe membership fee for one year. The two other finalists, will receive a 10% discount on Water Reuse Europe membership fee for one year.
- Applicants should ensure that the information they provide is recent and accurate. The jury reserves the right to verify information provided by the candidates.
- Applicants authorise Water Reuse Europe to disseminate and advertise information about their initiative as submitted in the application. Award winners may be required to provide extra supporting information such as photographs, diagrams etc. for promotional purposes.
- Entries are judged by the directors of Water Reuse Europe based on four criteria: (i) novelty and innovation, (ii) collaboration, (iii) impact and (iv) benefits to customers and/or end users.
- Members of the judging panel are prohibited from making an award application.
- The organisers reserve the right to cancel the Water Reuse Europe Innovation Prize 2023. In the event of such a cancellation, candidates will be informed as quickly as possible.
