Premier Tech & INRAE launch €4.5M wastewater reuse research project
French research institute INRAE and Premier Tech have launched the Aquanova project, winners under France’s Plan Eau, to advance science and innovation in the reuse of treated wastewater. The €4.5 million, three‑year initiative – supported by the France 2030 programme and ADEME – aims to design and test sustainable, low‑carbon treatment systems for decentralised wastewater and demonstrate reuse applications such as ferti‑irrigation, irrigation, washing, and energy production.
By improving the entire wastewater reuse chain, the partners hope to support water resource resilience, public health protection, and practical reuse practices for communities and agriculture.
