The R3VOLUTION Project, short for ‘A revolutionary approach for maximising process water reuse and resource recovery through a smart, circular and integrated solution’, is all set to revolutionise industrial water management in the EU. In order to make water consumption more sustainable and efficient, the project aims to develop key innovations to enable economic, environmental, and operational water reclamation, addressing solutes and energy recovery challenges. The four year project includes 19 project partners from 9 different countries.

Water Reuse Europe members, VITO, are project partners on the R3VOLUTION project, coordinated by Cetaqua, Water Technology Centre. As part of the project, VITO will design tailored functionalised ceramic membranes for nanofiltration and membrane distillation and will scale-up the most performing membranes for the implementation phase.
