The reuse of water turns wastewater into a resource into a surface PTAR

Water baths use about 5,000 m3 of water to clear almost 8 million components a year. This is the most water-consuming process at the extensive Grundfos pump factory located in Bjerringbro, Denmark. To reduce their freshwater consumption and become more sustainable, the company installed a cataphoresis wastewater treatment system, combined with RO filtration to purify water for reuse in the plant’s cathodic electrodeposition tanks, hence recycling 80% of its process water.
