The French patisserie, Brioche Pasquier, has partnered with Veolia to set up a packaged treatment plant to reuse the wastewater it generates. Veolia Water STI will operate the new installation that reuses 3 m3/h of wastewater as cooling water for the bakery’s cooling towers.

The reuse unit, based at Brioche Pasquier’s headquarters  in France’s Pays de la Loire region, saves 85% of the drinking water used for cooling purposes, which is approximately 18,000 m3/year. The treated wastewater not used in the bakery is distributed for irrigation.
