WRE Director featured in World Water

Paul Jeffrey, the Chair of the WRE Board of Director was feature in the July/August issue of World Water magazine.

Paul spoke about the new EU regulation to mitigate water scarcity and its potential impact. This regulation allows for wider application of treated municipal wastewater for reuse.

Paul mentions how “only two percent of the wastewater treated in Europe is reused, well below its potential, which is projected to be 6,000 million cubic meters per year by 2025.” He then goes on about how recent legislation will increase that.
